Triassic Fish

The remains of a number of different fish species have been found within the Knocklofty Formation. These include the pike-like predator Sauricthys which may have reached up to 0.5m in length, trout-like Acrolepis, Cleithrolepis and Ceratodus a lung-fish that is remarkably similar to those which may still be found in Australian waters, today.
