Temnospondyl

Temnospondyls are an order of amphibians that were once abundant and which are now extinct.  At least five species are known from the Knocklofty Formation, alone.  Ranging in size from 40cm up to a meter in length, these animals were aquatic or semi-aquatic and were likely to have been ambush predators.
